Wall Membrane
The ThermaDry wall membrane is an insulated cavity drainage membrane which also serves as a vapor barrier to keep your basement walls warm and dry. ThermaDry has been specifically developed for use in finished basements. It provides a thermally insulated vapor barrier behind the Sheetrock or other wall lining.
If you have leaking wall cracks or damp patches on your basement walls, the ThermaDry wall membrane provides an ideal solution to these wet basement problems.
There is no need to seal leaking wall cracks, the ThermaDry membrane allows water to drain down into the Waterguard perimeter drainage channel - which should be installed below the basement floor above the footer. In turn, the Waterguard channel discharges the water via a special Waterguard drain outlet into a sump and pump system (See our FloodBuster Sump and pump system if you are looking for the best!).
What makes this waterproofing membrane for walls especially beneficial is its lightweight design and ease of installation. This allows contractors to swiftly address and prevent further water ingress, unlike other repair methods that can be time-consuming and less effective at providing comprehensive moisture protection. To install, you attach the membrane to the wall using the special button fixings (aka Christmas tree fasteners) included with your order. Drill a quarter inch hole, push the fixing in, place a piece of jointing tape over the head of the fixing, and you’re done. ThermaDry comes in 4'6" wide rolls which can be installed vertically of horizontally. When installing vertically, the joints are butted together and sealed with the ThermaDry Aluminum jointing tape.
